4000 Crore Investment Worth ??

Atal Rohtang Tunnel construction cost approx 4000 crore Indian rupees. But this tunnel was for utmost importance because
  • It will promote tourism to the unexplored part of the Himachal.
  • 365-day accessibility to Leh throughout the year. In short All-weather connectivity up to Leh-Ladakh. As roads are closed in winters only option to reach Leh is via flights.
  • Helps Army to provide an alternative road for movements to reach Leh.
The tunnel has reduced the distance between Manali and Leh by 46 km. Watch my video on this Manali to Leh Road.
